Authentic Chana Masala Recipe

 INTRODUCTION

Chana Masala is a basic and very popular recipe of North India. It is always served in restaurants in India. This Punjabi Chana Masala, also known as Chole Masala, is an authentic North Indian style curry made with white chickpeas, spices, onions, tomatoes. This spin on Indian chickpea curry is made with chickpeas, tomatoes, onions. and shows a mixture of spices. In North India this dish is called 'chole masala' or simply 'chole'. INGREDIENTS 


 1. 1 cup kabuli chana

 2. 1 tsp red chili

 3. 1/2 tsp turmeric

 4. 2 tsp coriander seeds

 5. 1/2 tsp garam masala

 6. 1.5 tbsp chana masala

 7. 3/4 cup finely chopped onion

 8. 1 cup tomato puree

 9. 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

 10. 1 green chili

 11. 2 tbsp oil

 12. Coriander



INSTRUCTIONS


 1. Wash and soak kabuli chana overnight.


 2. Then add Nitar turmeric, salt and 4 cups of water and boil it in the cooker.


 3. Then take oil in a pan and fry onion, then add ginger chili paste and green chili and fry for 2 minutes.


 4. Then add tomato puree, add red chillies, garam masala, coriander, salt and let it boil for 5-6 minutes.


 5. Then add 1 cup of water and molasses to it and let it simmer for 10 minutes on low heat.


 6. Then add chana masala and let it simmer for 2 minutes.


 7. Sprinkle coriander and serve hot.



SERVED WITH


This recipe is usually eaten with roti, paratha, bhatura or puffed puri and rice of choice. Serve over basmati or jasmine rice.
