Recipe Name:- Shahi Paneer


 Ingredients :-


 (1) Paneer - 500 grams (cut into pieces 3 cups)

 (2) Tomato - 5 medium sized

 (3) Green chili - 2

 (4)Ginger - 1 inch long piece

 (5) oil - 2 tbsp

 (6) Cumin - half a teaspoon

(7) Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp

(8) Coriander powder - 1 tsp

 (9)Red chili - less than 1/4 tsp

 (10)Cashew - 25-30 (2 tbsp filled up to the top)

 (11)cream - 100 grams (half cup)

(12) Maharaja Garam masala - 1/4 tsp

 (13)Salt - as per taste (3/4 tsp)

 (14)Green Coriander – 1 tbsp (finely chopped)


 Method:-


(1) Cut the paneer into square pieces. Put 1 tbsp oil in a non stick pan and fry the paneer until it turns light brown and take it out. Soak cashew nuts in water for half an hour and grind them finely and take them out in a bowl.


(2) Grind tomatoes, ginger and green chillies in a mixer and make a paste. Take out the paste and keep it in a bowl. Churn the cream as well in the mixie.


(3) Put ghee or butter in a pan and heat it. Put cumin seeds in hot ghee. When the cumin seeds turn brown, add turmeric powder and coriander powder, fry a little and add tomato paste to this spice and stir it with a spoon.  


(4)After roasting the tomatoes, add cashew paste and cream and stir the spices with a spoon until oil starts floating on the spices. Add water to this masala as per the requirement to keep the gravy thick or thin. Add salt and red chili and mix.


(5) When the curry comes to a boil, add paneer pieces and mix, cover and let the curry cook for 3-4 minutes on a very low flame, so that all the spices get absorbed inside the paneer. Shahi paneer vegetable is ready. Turn the gas off. After saving some green coriander, mix green coriander and garam masala.


(6) Take out the Shahi Paneer curry in a bowl. Garnish with green coriander on top. Serve hot Shahi Paneer with rice, naan, paranthas or hot chapati and eat.


 Note:-


 If you like onions, then peel 1-2 onions and 4-5 cloves of garlic and chop them finely, after roasting cumin seeds, add chopped onions and garlic and fry them till they turn light pink, and now add all the ingredients in the above sequence. Make shahi paneer sabzi.
